Friday, during his end of the year news conference, President Obama admonished Sony Pictures for cancelling its Christmas Day release of “The Interview.” He went on to say that if the company had called him, he would have told them to stick by the movie. Sony responded later that same day saying they did in fact reach out to the White House:

Apparently Sony corporate counsel is smart enough to know that the Obama administration doesn't have anyone's back.

There would be no end of litigation for this company if it released the movie. Everything that ever went wrong anywhere afterward would be the cause of some class-action suit. It would bankrupt them.

If Obama really cared about this, he could call Sony and buy the picture from him, and have the US government release it. Straight to DVD or in theaters, whatever they want. Just to let them know they won't get away with that behavior. Then retaliate against NK with some good old fashioned NSA crap.

I doubt Obama cares, he is probably laughing and wondering if he can do the same to anyone in the US who ridicules him. Oh wait, he already does. He has the NSA collect the emails, the IRS uses them and no one tries to connect Obama to it. How do you think they would have nailed D'souza?
