So now what? Was this an attack on America? Japan? Both? Simply a crime against a private company? Extortion of individuals information in exchange for canning the movie? If so, where's the jurisdiction?

At this point, I'd release the movie. Clearly the threats of terrorist attacks are just that: empty threats. NK is not that stupid.

Or would they attack Japan or SK if it were released? What a total CF.

I’m guessing this will lead to an attack on the American people that will flow from the pen of the Emperor.

Here’s the update so far:

“The Obama administration says it’s determined the North Korean government was behind a devastating hacking attack against Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The FBI announcement Friday is the first official statement blaming the isolated country for the cyber-attack.

In the statement, federal officials say they found similarities between the tools used in the Sony attack and previous hacks linked to North Korea.”

Its a civil matter.

I’m sure laws were broken, but I’ll be damned if I want to wage nuclear war over the idiots at Sony.

I have trouble believing anything our current government says, including the FBI. Maybe it was some 22 year old nerd in his parent’s basement.

Maybe so, but the fact that the movie was pulled, and theaters around the country refused to show it if it was released is pretty significant. It shows that there is no confidence in the Obama administration's ability (or willingness) to protect the homeland.

C'mon. Some really creative hackers thought it would be funny to hack Sony and get North Korea blamed for being really, really angry about some movie. How would North Korea even have been aware of the movie and its contents in the time it would take to engineer this hack?

My scenario makes more sense than North Korea being this creative and capable does.

It was not an attack on America but on a private company involving many outside connections (the leaked info). I imagine they perceived it as an attack on North Korea.

Make no mistake. It could easily become an attack on the U.S. if they choose to make it that. Certainly it became a threat to the U.S. But the only actions were against a company and its contacts.

OK. Now they've gone and done it. They've pissed off the sheeple.

Nuclear program? No big deal.

Brutal suppression and starvation of millions? Not our problem.

But if that ratbastard thinks he can tell us what kind of MOVIE we can watch... he's in for it now.

Sorry, FBI, but thanks to Dorkbama and the Holderidiot, we quite simply DO NOT BELIEVE anything coming out of you, the CIA, NSA, and most importantly, the IRS.

Now, we all know that the vast majority of you are decent folks. However, we expect you to use your powers to expose our Dork-O-Dent for the cretin he is, or risk becoming additional targets when we finally play the part of the Ants in A Bug’s Life and shove you and your silly little powers up your collective Obamaholes.

I don’t believe a single word that comes from our completely corrupt government.

More importantly, this attack clearly demonstrates just how vulnerable Obama and the democrats have made us over the past 6+ years. Imagine what America will look like the day after our power grids, banking and transportation has been shut down.

Interesting times we live in.....
