A woman who is raped needs to go to the police/hospital immediately.
If she waits years then comes forward she does a disservice to rape victims and herself by delaying the report of the rape.

Tired of the excuses, take personal responsibility.

Being “Tired of the excuses” works two ways.

“A woman who is raped needs to go to the police/hospital immediately.”

Bill Cosby allegedly used a date rape drug to rape these women. These date rape drugs are virtually undetectable in many cases. The drug also leaves the victims very disoriented and often ill for a period of hours or days after administration. Even if the raped woman were able to overcome all of the debilitating effects of the intimidation, shock, fear, personal disgust, and so forth, how do suppose she can face the ordeal of Bill Cosby carrying through with his threat to deny the rape with a false claim the sex or rape was consensual? How do you think she is going to be able to prove to the satisfaction of the police that the rape was not consensual, especially when the accused is Bill Cosby with his celebrity status? If dozens of women rape victims, real and/or imagined, at this late date are supposed to be completely without any credibility whatsoever, then what chance of credibility would a rape victim in a state of inner turmoil assume she would have, especially when her own talent agent treats her with contempt?

“If she waits years then comes forward she does a disservice to rape victims and herself by delaying the report of the rape.”

Many of the victims did not wait years to come forward. Their complaints to their talent agent, lawyer, family, friends were dismissive and/or shared the fear of disbelief and retaliation which would result from going public with the accusations.

“Tired of the excuses, take personal responsibility.”

A diplomat celebrity pulled a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde act on me in an attempt to coerce me into serving as his pimp. He threatened me with consequences if I didn’t immediately procure him some college girls and boys for his sexual escapades, when the university appointed me as his university student host for a conference. Knowing he enjoyed diplomatic immunity, I left him and reported the incident to the university professor responsible for my assignment and the conference. He assured me I did the right thing and instructed me to leave the matter to him. Weeks later the friends of this diplomat in the university administration fulfilled the threats of intimidation. Since it was a matter of my verbal word against all of their reputations, I was defenseless. I took personal responsibility, and paid a lifelong price for doing so. I wouldn’t change a thing, but you had better realize these women were in a nearly impossible dilemma, given the ability of a celebrity to commit a crime with impunity by using the natural sympathy the public has for celebrities who are falsely accused for monetary gain and revenge.

Actually you are the one doing a disservice to rape victims as you repeat yourself on this thread over, and over, and over, ‘not enough evidence to convict’, as though this is a court room rather than a discussion forum, we hear your OJ chant, and I like I said you must have been great on the Bill Clinton threads with the same chanting over and over as we discussed the evidence of his rapes that convinced most of us that he is indeed a rapist.

Cosby should have taken responsibility and not settled when his 2004 rape victim and 13 more of his victims came forward.

Today, he doesn’t deny drugging and raping her.

Clinton, OJ, Ted Kennedy, and on and on, you can just keep repeating yourself over and over, on all such threads.
