--snip-- Even when protesters arent burning out buildings (as they did repeatedly in Ferguson), even when they havent broken windows (as they have in Oakland and Berkeley), they have closed down intersections and bridges. In other words, even when they have been peaceful, the protests have involved coercion and illegal acts.

what is the difference between these police haters and the anarchists we see all over the world whenever leaders meet, or large corporations have conferences??
Violent inner-city crime, the figures, and a question of race
26 June 2010
The data provide a breakdown of the ethnicity of the 18,091 men and boys who police took action against for a range of violent and sexual offences in London in 2009-10.
They show that among those proceeded against for street crimes, 54 per cent were black; for robbery, 59 per cent; and for gun crimes, 67 per cent. Street crimes include muggings, assault with intent to rob and snatching property.
Just over 12 per cent of Londons 7.5 million population is black, including those of mixed black and white parentage, while 69 per cent is white, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Difference? Depends on which ones you mean; the ones who get paid to do this or the fools who work for free? The paid protesters get free travel from one site to the next, as well as lodging and food. Many are in these anti-cop protests and tend to be the leaders; they have the experience at creating chaos. The locals who are enlisted are whipped up into enough of a rage that they are willing to burn down their own homes (that they rent of course), while the paid protesters get on a bus to their hotels. The locals then wonder where they will sleep.
Many years ago when I had to look for work I would see lots of ads with a head of: “Have an activist career”. These were more common in the MSC employment section than any other job category. These were ads for paid protesters and agitators.
