In the most shocking development yet, the Sony attackers have threatened a 9/11-like attack on movie theaters that screen Seth Rogen and James Franco’s North Korean comedy “The Interview.”
They also released the promised “Christmas gift” of files. The contents of the files are unknown but it’s called “Michael Lynton,” who is the CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
“The world will be full of fear,” the message reads. “Remember the 11th of September 2001. We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time. (If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.) Whatever comes in the coming days is called by the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment

It is interesting how when a movie maker insults North Korea, a nation that could actually do us a good deal of harm, no one seems to bat an eye when they freak out.
But when a movie maker makes fun of muslims, he is thrown in jail, rebuked by our government and blamed for a terrorist attack.
If they do carry out their threats of attacking movie theaters I wonder if North Korea will be blamed or if Sony and Seth Rogen will get the blame.
That doesn’t make sense. The hack might generate interest and get people to see the movie but a terrorist threat would surely depress turnout.
If I were to see this at a theater I wouldn’t go opening weekend. Even though the chances are slim anything bad would happen, why not wait a week or two and reduce the chances to zero?
If 5%-10% of prospective viewers avoided theaters on the opening weekend, it would cause major financial pain to Sony.
Time for a preemptive strike on the Norks.

I suspect it was written by a non-native English speaker.
Now they can blame it on a video.

If it is the NK’s, then Kim Jung Un should probably watch the movie. I doubt UN dies in it. The trailer shows Franco and Un becoming best buds!
Hilarious. It’s all a PR stunt, all fake “leaks”. Keep the rumor mill going, keep those people calling, keep the interviews rolling in for A-listers, the auditions will follow.
Whats ironic is that it is an anti-CIA / America / Freedom flick that Un will probably adore once he sees it.
