A Note from Jeb Bush [he's running]

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

Like many of you, our family was blessed with the opportunity to gather together over the recent Thanksgiving holiday.

Columba and I are so proud of the wonderful adults our children have become, and we loved spending time with our three precious grandchildren.

We shared good food and watched a whole lot of football.

We also talked about the future of our nation. As a result of these conversations and thoughtful consideration of the kind of strong leadership I think America needs, I have decided to actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States.

In January, I also plan to establish a Leadership PAC that will help me facilitate conversations with citizens across America to discuss the most critical challenges facing our exceptional nation. The PAC’s purpose will be to support leaders, ideas and policies that will expand opportunity and prosperity for all Americans.

In the coming months, I hope to visit with many of you and have a conversation about restoring the promise of America.

Best wishes to you and your families for a happy holiday season. I’ll be in touch soon.

Onward, Jeb Bush

I’m still trying to figure out how he plans to win the nomination without winning the primaries...

Not likely.

Go to Hell.

Your known positions are untenable and unacceptable.

He has no chance to win... so I see it as just a subterfuge to siphon $$$$ into HIS pocket .. and ultimately handed off to the establishment nominee.

Of course, Jeb will see some of the ‘benefits’ as well... though no one will talk about THAT.

yeah, you make a good point - and another idiotic thing he’s said/done - is to go ask John McCain how to win without conservatives? Well, memo to Jeb: McCain DID NOT WIN.

But it’s fair to how ask how he won the nomination without conservatives: A: no real strong conservative in the race and B: too many people knee jerk voted for McCain as “war hero” without understanding how liberal he was and C: that was an electorate PRE Obama and PRE 2010 and 2014. No analogy here Jebby boi.

I’ll bet this: if he’s running, then he must be running with the knowledge that the big donors are there to back him all the way. That’s how the Bush family operates. He’ll bank on “moderate” Republicans and open primary states and flooding the airwaves in an attempt to gain nomination by sheer force.

And I’m not buying what he’s selling. He’s a surefire loser in the general.

He can win the primaries if three or four conservatives run against him and split the conservative vote. Somehow that must not happen even though the GOPe will try.

I disagree....there are easier ways for him to make money - but to the main point: I don’t think he has any idea how remote his chances are. I think he’s drunk on his own kool aid. He thinks he can win IMO. ( I do not)

Note that Juan’s vote total was enhanced by Palin’s presence.

Jeb did a decent job as governor of Florida, all things considered. He left with the highest approval rating of a governor. But, now it is time to fade.

Early analysis on this indicates he’s announcing this early (yeah, still a pre-announcement, but is anyone fooled?) to preempt a Romney 2016 movement from getting off the ground.

Guess we conservatives should just give up, bulk up, and wait for the civil war.
