"We have become an Imperial Fascist Oligarchy. Constitution RIP." True dat. Lock 'n' load. The next battleground won't be a ballot box, and those whom we retire won't be getting a "gold watch" party.
Now it gets series.

Ooops. Measured again. Make that 1.05 inches past leaving the Republican Party.

Thanks for the documentation, Laz. It removes any doubt that you are one of Free Republic’s finest

It's NOW TIME to RECALL Johns Boehner and Mitch Mcconnell.
I will have ZERO confidence in the Republican party as long as these two Rats are leading.
To: PGalt
My reason was, in retrospect, trivial.
But it was a trend and a track record I knew would bite us in the end.
And it did.
And I also love this very prescient quote: "The Republicans look like they will wimp out, not exercise the so-called Nuclear Option, and Harry Reid will PERMIT two judges to be approved and disapprove four others. Does anyone think for a second the Democrats won't "go nuclear" in a heartbeat if the roles were reversed?"
And they did.
Sometimes I even surprise myself.

Yeah, and no one can claim you had much say in your decision.
It's kinda like when the wife serves you divorce papers, YOU have been rejected by THEM.

As usual, you were ahead of the curve.
I left in 2012.
If we don’t see the GOP fighting tooth and nail for America by March 15, 2015, it is time to start a new political party and leave them in the rear view mirror, like they did to the Whigs in 1850s.
We’ll know by the middle of March which way the die is cast.

Federal officeholders -- i.e., senators and congressmen -- cannot be recalled. This has been litigated both in federal court (Idaho, 1967) and state court (New Jersey, 2013).
Unless they die or resign, you'll have to wait until the next election.

Mitt Romney left the GOP in 1979 because of Reagan, and rejoined the GOP in October of 1993.

George Will and KrauthammerHard core Republican Establishment, both.
Occasionally they have moments of lucidity, but those are infrequent.

I don't know what to believe. I called my rep (Woodall) and was told that they voted to extend the funding until February when they will have control of both houses and then you will see action. I noticed that McCain, Rubio and other amnesty senators in the GOP voted against this bills. Maybe they are just trying to protect themselves because of their amnesty vote by making votes against it because they know it will pass, but who knows. I know this leaving the GOP may make you feel good but in the mean time the Dems will pick up the pieces and get done what ever they want in the wreckage that will come from that. And even if you do build another infrastructure they will have already taken us so far down the road their would be no point in even trying to recover. Bug we simply have to keep pressure on them.

Sorry, man, I have bad news: You don't have to wait that long. The die is already cast, even with the new guys.
McConnell made a big speech about needing to (and I use *HIS* word here) "co-opt" the new crew.

Not spineless, they are part of the long-ago Communist plan to infiltrate the country and bring us down from the inside. From the way they act and lie, I am sure of it! They are complicit with Obama. They are part of a team. When you look at it that way, it’s the only thing that makes sense!

I'm with Levin! Bonehead and McConnell lost sight of conservatism and are totally worthless.

I love it near election time when they come back to me and gently and persuasively nudge me with...
VOTE REPUBLICAN AGAIN OR DIE, HERETIC!
To: Lazamataz
That's going back a long way (in the scheme of things), Laz
"The Republicans look like they will wimp out, not exercise the so-called Nuclear Option, and Harry Reid will PERMIT two judges to be approved and disapprove four others. Does anyone think for a second the Democrats won't "go nuclear" in a heartbeat if the roles were reversed?"

Believe me, what you are saying is what I am most afraid of happening—that the new kids on the block get co-opted.
But I have to give them a chance to prove me wrong.
The odds are looking south of 50-50 though.
