Her husband, Paul Smith, is a partner at top law firm King Wood Mallesons.
Ms Dawson, who attended prestigious girls school Ascham, topped the state in the Higher School Certificate in 1994 with a TER of 100, and topped her bar exams
Ms Dawson went on to complete her law degree at the University of Sydney before going on to complete her Master of Laws at the University of NSW.
She was called to the bar in 2005.
On the Eight Selbourne chambers website, Ms Dawson’s areas of practice include commercial law, equity and property law.

Ms Dawson is the mother to three children under the age of ten two girls and a boy. The youngest, a girl, is four years old.
