To: morphing libertarian

Carpool lanes in California are controlled access. You can’t just move right at any time. There are sections of the road that I drove each day where the regular lanes move faster. Overall, though, the HOV lanes move faster.

Your first two sentences were unnecessary. No one said to move over when it’s not indicated. If you want to drive with the slower traffic on the right stay on the right. Simple.

You realize you just outed yourself as a Southern Californian, because it’s not that way in the Bay Area. We are always “behind the innovations in transportation” that are first tried in Los Angeles and surrounds. I go there once a year for the Long Beach Grand Prix, otherwise I am happy to stay away from that dump!
