If I could have taken another career path, I probably would have done medical school... knowing what I know now and what has become of the industry... I could probably have a good private practice as an old fashion country doctor serving the local Amish community and anyone else willing to pay cash or barter, and sign a release of some sort waiving their right to sue me for malpractice if the open wound I fixed for them at 75¢ per stitch might leave a scar.

The fact that so many doctors are retiring, no doubt that would be a great barter position as a doctor, and considering people will no doubt have to get a lot things done outside the system.
Amish Country? I know PA and Ohio have big Amish populations?
