True. However, I have not seen any evidence that this disease is at all common in Central America.

So what we have is a coincidence in time. May or may not be a causal link.

Many, many things also happened during that time, including lots of things of which we are not aware. Would like to see epidemoilogical evidence. Which may be kept secret by the government, of course.

To spout a cliche, correlation does not prove causation.
