A hostage has been forced to hold up an Islamic State flag in the window of a shop in Martin Place that is currently under siege.
It is believed there are 12 hostages in the store and an ISIS flag has been placed in the window.
Martin Place is the main financial area of the Sydney CBD.

Reports police have now identified the hostage taker ...no name released.

As said before...we’re seeing the best operating in this theater...and the negotiators are experts at getting hostages released...and as much as certain questions that will give them information they need to progress..

CNN doing phone interview with Radio Host who got hostage call from gunman making requests. He said that hostages escaped and weren’t released. That the gunman wanted all to know this is a terrorist attack for ISIS.
Three times he called and made demands, then Radio Host asked for negotiator. Evidently, he is making hostages talk and the terrorist had a middle eastern accent from Syria or Irag according to the Radio Host.
He is saying you all are in the ninth hour of this situation. The CNN anchor called him ? Hadley??
