I’m still not clear on when and how the first lady was able to obtain this authority? Did she just decree it to be so? Did someone vote or did some agency just goosestep at her orders?

I seem to recall recently there was some comparison of prison lunches and whats now being forced on our schoolkids,

I'm guessing it has something to do with federal funding of schools (grant programs, etc.).

Step 1: The Federal Government taxes the locals.
Step 2: The Federal Government offers to give some of that tax money back, but only if the locals surrender to the will of the Federal Government.

It's a disgusting display of imperial power.
