New government guidance has LGBT rights advocates "thrilled"
In one short paragraph of a 34-page memo released on Dec. 1, the Department of Education articulated a clear stance on gender identity, saying transgender students in public schools should be enrolled in single-sex classes that align with how they live their lives day-to-day.
“We’re thrilled,” says Shannon Minter, the legal director for the National Center for Lesbian Rights. “It’s so critical to the health and well-being of those students, and it’s going to be so helpful to have that guidance in writing so that schools understand what their obligations are.”
The memo is explicit that federal law protects students’ decisions made in accordance with their gender identity. “Under Title IX,” it reads, a school “must treat transgender students consistent with their gender identity in all aspects of the planning, implementation, enrollment, operation, and evaluation of single-sex classes.”

Gender Identity is a nice term for mental illness. These people are not to be respected in their current capacity, what they really need is freaking help and called out that they are not normal. If you have testicles, you are male, if you have ovaries, you are female. If you have both or a portion of both thereof its called a birth defect. Who someone chooses to sleep and have sex with is THEIR business; not a place for fedzilla to be hopping in the middle of. I notice liberals and dykes aren’t in DC screaming “stay out of our bedrooms” these days (and is it any small miracle why? They now have the fed suppressing the majority, normal people in this country).
I am a middle-aged lesbian trapped in a man’s body. If I sign up for a class at the local college can I hang around in the women’s bathrooms and locker rooms?

Yes they do. There are a few honest ones that admit there is a big problem and that they would not leave their children around some of those they associate with. One of my high school friends was molested and now leads a gay lifestyle.
Except for one snag: I don't respect the Federal government's expectations of dictating whom I respect or for what reasons.
I have yet to see a true human hermaphrodite, who spontaneously clones itself. I do know people where the genes do not come together, but that would be better classified as “natural born eunuch”.

There is a backlash brewing. They are pushing too hard too fast just like Obama. When it finally materializes they will lose decades of what they call “progress”.
Headline regards transgender, not just sexual attraction.
Only those girls who identify as male (dress, name, etc) would be sent to male only classes and that doesn’t seem to be the goal of any lesbian I’ve ever encountered (even the butch ones).
I walked out of my “Diversity Training” class. I informed them that I didn’t hear them addressing the real needs of Celtic-Americans in the workplace. Good thing the company was bought out and my facility was closed. I don’t think I had much of a future with them.
I do not disagree with you, but there is something weird about abortions being so predominately black, and how things get scewed nationally to support social acceptance of different philosophies....especially from the east.

Education should be handled at the state level, it’s easier to change legislators.
