"As a result of Cruzs and Lees efforts, they will now get a vote after the cromnibus cloture vote on Cruzs constitutional point of order. The measure only requires 51 votes to pass, and since all 45 Republicans will likely vote for it, only six Democrats would need to support it for it to succeed. But, since everyone expects the Democrats who say they oppose Obamas executive amnestytheres 12 total, at leastto not vote in a manner consistent with their rhetoric, it is expected that Cruzs point of order will not pass the Senate."

Earlier today it was reported that McConnell set out for home in KY at 6p last night after thinking it was all over, and Cruz has run the table since. Did Turtle turn around? Has anybody seen him on the Senate floor? \
If he didn’t turn around, this is symbolically serious.

Perhaps six of the nine Democrats who lost their seats will vote for this as they head out the door, as an “FU” and payback to Obama for putting his policies around their necks during their re-election companions.

At the very least Cruz is putting them all on the record as to where they stand, which is a lot more than what the so called GOP leaders are doing.
