Rules? For Christ's sake, the guy is her husband. He's not a "guest". Unless there is more to this story than is being told on the surface, this so-called landlord will get nowhere with his threats at eviction or raising the rent. The Fair Housing Act would protect these folks from this snarky, hateful landlord.
After just having a baby, husband serving his country and at Christmastime. A person can't get any lower. That's why I suspect there is more to the story than is being told.

I agree. When I stayed in Arlington for 3.5 years...I had signed a lease on a studio apartment, which had a stipulation of only one resident, and one single guest for a period of ten consecutive days. I thought it was a weird rule, but the pricing and location were higher priorities. There are reasons to run a policy like this....like you suggest.
