What happened in the House and will happen in the Senate shows that conservatives will never be able to take control of the GOPe from within. All the arguments have been aired from the pros and the antis and the argument will continue, but it past time to cut conservative losses and form a new party. It is either that or the country is lost short of armed insurrection.

The only chance of us taking the Republican party is by taking the presidency first. Look at Obama, that is how his Chicago wing took over the Democrat party. Whoever holds the big seat has the power to reshape the party, but without that, chances are slim.

The GOPe would at least have to negotiate with us to get anything passed. Right now they are just flipping us the bird and saying "what are you going to do about it?"
Of course we run the danger that the GOPe will caucus with the DNC rather than the Tea Party because the are closer ideology wise.

We can flank the evil GOPe and the evil RATs with a new party.
It will draw 10s of millions from both parties.
The reality is that a new party is inevitable. I predict within a year a big movement will arise to a new vigorous party arise to destroy these evil Statists that infest our government.

One point that gets ignored is that the GOPe has a built-in advantage that tilts the playing field hopelessly against any kind of takeover. The GOPe can always reach across the aisle for support. Conservatives have no equivalent well to draw from. The result is that conservatives have little real leverage, making it almost impossible for us to have legislative success, and equally impossible for us to consistently impede the left-wing Republicans.
A third party may be a terrible plan. But it beats the heck out of any of the alternatives.

You obviously have not heard of Sen. Cruz.
