December 10, 2014 California Police Chief Joins Anti-Police Violence Protests

KRISTOPHER SKINNER

RICHMOND, Calif. - A Northern California police chief noted for his community policing efforts raised a few eyebrows when he joined a peaceful protest Tuesday, holding a sign with the popular Twitter hashtag of #blacklivesmatter.

The Contra Costa Times reported Richmond Police Chief Chris Magnus was part of a group of about demonstrators who lined a busy street, holding signing and listening to recordings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s speeches.

"I spoke with my command staff, and we agreed it would be nice to convey our commitment to peaceful protest and that black and brown lives do matter," Magnus told the newspaper after the protest. "And to help bridge the gap that we understand sometimes exists between police and community around certain issues."

"We get the conversation about use of force, we get it," Deputy Chief Allwyn Brown added. "This is an opportunity for all police departments, including ours, to look inward and examine our approaches and get better."

The police are now protesting against themselves. If you aren’t armed yet...

Keep fooling yourself, Chief Mangus. If you take that uniform off, and try walking home after dark, don’t be too surprised if you get ‘Knocked Out’ by some familiar faces, the very same people you were marching with five hours earlier! Ask the Bosnian community what they think about all these ‘freedom marches’. For many of these protestors, this is just another way to express their own race prejudice.

The East Bay’s New Power Couple: Richmond’s Gay Police Chief Gets Married

by John Geluardi

Richmond Police Chief Chris Magnus and Terrance Cheung, the chief of staff in Supervisor John Gioia’s office, were married in a ceremony that took place among blooming flowers in the terraced amphitheater at the Berkeley Rose Garden over the weekend. After the small ceremony, the newlyweds held a reception for about 250 people at the Richmond waterfront restaurant Salute’s.

Magnus and Cheung form something of a political power couple as was evidenced by some of the guests at the reception. Among the well-wishers were some of the heaviest hitters in the East Bay, including Congressman George Miller, state Senators Loni Hancock and Mark DeSaulnier, Assemblywoman Nancy Skinner, Contra Costa Supervisor Gioia, Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates, Richmond Mayor Gayle McLaughlin, and most of the city’s councilmembers.

Incredible. What a wimp. What a traitor to his community.

California patriots need to elect pro-2nd Amendment, Constitutional sheriffs in their counties. A Constitutional sheriff gives you peace in your neighborhoods and armed muscle to confront fascist cops, local, state and federal.

He’s not an Uncle Tom, so he must be an Uncle Brown. What a sell-out and a coward.

Liberalism, cowardice, laziness, selfishness...they all swim in the same liberal cesspool.

No one is spared when freedom fails
the best men rot in filthy jails
and those who cried APPEASE! APPEASE!
are hanged by those they tried to please

Chris Magnus is a showboat captain in real life.

He originally comes from Mini-Soda.

Richmond Police Chief Chris Magnus a racist? He's white, but he's also openly gay and is perhaps one of the most progressive police chiefs in the Bay Area.

the key to his diversity issues?

In counties where we have the votes to do so, we do. California has 58 counties. You can obtain a CCW permit in about half of them. And in some of the others, they’ve already taken Peruta v. San Diego into consideration and have started processing applicants. If Peruta becomes the law, estimates are that we will have 1.5 million CCW permit holders within a year.

A homo police chief who sides with black thugs over his own officers. What a country!
