A Very Scary Situation (race relations)
The American Spectator ^ | December 10, 2014 | Ben Stein

Posted on 12/10/2014 10:10:52 AM PST by reaganaut1

A disturbing conversation with one of my smartest, most astute friends who is from a border state but has been observing race relations for a long time now. He is white. He is definitely idiosyncratic. This, in paraphrase, is what he said:

“I keep reading in the newspapers and seeing in the mainstream media how angry blacks are at whites over the Trayvon Martin case, the Ferguson case and the Staten Island case. And what the media is missing is that as angry as the blacks are at the whites, that’s how angry many — not all — whites are at the blacks. Blacks ask for reparations for slavery and Jim Crow, as if paying today’s twenty-year-old crack addict had anything to do with his ten times removed grandfather being a slave or could make any difference at all to the soul of that slave.

“What I wonder is when white people are going to start asking black people for reparations for wrecking the public schools, for destroying urban life in many cities, for the insanely disproportionate share of armed robberies, homicides, and rapes they commit? When are black people going to pay reparations for putting the whole nation in fear?”

I heard this from a man about my age and I would chalk it up to one person’s oddness except that I hear words a bit like these constantly these days from white people.

Except during the era of school busing in the seventies, I have never heard or seen whites so angry at blacks. Al Sharpton has done what he set out to do and so has Eric Holder. They have fanned the flames of racial anger to a white hot pitch.

Obama is the worse thing to happen to race relations in this country since Lester Maddox and Louise Day Hicks.

I wonder if recent events have caused many to change what they have been carrying?

As for me, I will not become another Reginald Denny.

I will not stop for anyone standing in or lying in the road, unless there are many many blue lights.

For those of you too young to know, Reginald Denny was driving a HUGE dump truck that could have plowed through about anything in the road, but he stopped.

As a result, he is permanently disabled.

It is the same.

Only diff: 60,000,000 dead babies and gay marriage is now legal and our children graduate from college in a godless state and sexually hardened.

Careful here folks.

The culprit is not necessarily blacks, but is instead progressive leftists who hold power, and our liberal neighbors who suck up their venom and believe it.

Interesting how this part-time conservative believes his friends represent the national mood to the extent he hyperbolized.

The issue is Marxism and the Democrats that continue to vote for it.

Every Army and police force on Earth, somehow magically transported here and given ten years, could not even start to perform that task.

Who will drive them?

MRAPS are not unstoppable, and they run out of gas.

Right now we have cops afraid to police certain areas. Were I live now, they will not go into certain neighborhoods no matter what for fear of lawsuits. If there was a real order to go out and load the rail cars, do you think the same people will do it? Against the most heavily armed citizens in history?

There will be an E.O. for gun confiscation. That will be the first mission of Obola’s domestic army.

And its last mission. Trust me, they are NOT going to disarm over 100 million people, and a good many of those 100 million are not going to sit around and wait to be raided.

For the benefit of the multi-lettered agencies, I'm just saying...not advocating, advising or militating in any way.

++++
The media is missing that story but I’m not. I believe we are just getting started on a 2 year Final Act intended to get the minorities and the brainless libs in this country to the polls in huge numbers in order to elect Obama’s choice for the next President of the United States in 2016.

But I think Obama is making a huge mistake that will grow the Tea Party ranks and Republican ranks in general and, assuming we don’t nominate another Romney/McCain/Bush/Christy RINO, then the GOP should coast to the Presidency in the next election.

Of course that is a big IF. But the Obama Plan is working in our favor. Ted Cruz and the stronger Governors are going to get a lot more attention if Obama keeps it up. And I think he will.

They can try...

Think “Wolverine”...at a minimum.

His take on things is spot on. But sadly his hope for a “spiritual” solution is a forlorn hope.

They (you know who I mean) want to thoroughly Balkinize this country beyond repair. And I believe they have just about finished that job.

I have no desire to mix it up with anyone, hope it doesn’t come to that. But I’m flat fed up with being targeted by thug politicians, race hustlers and “black leaders” that are criminals in suits.

Beyond basic courtesy and humanity, I owe none of these people anything. Period.

That only works if enough people fear and respect the State to follow their orders.

Personally, I think the empirical evidence of this is the individual states. In the era of Obama, for perhaps the first time since our nation's founding, the governors of states are setting themselves against the dictates of the federal government.

You have Texas and others that are suing the feds over immigration. You have many states refusing to set up Obamacare exchanges. You have states pushing back on Medicaid rules where the feds are trying to dump off costs to states.

It's already happening at this level, and we seem to be heading to the individual level where people start to actively push back against an increasingly lawless government that no longer appears accountable to people.

Witness Obama and Democrats ramming through Obamacare. Exec order on immigration. Holder and his antics of faning racial flames and seeking to prosecute people at the federal level simply as a means of retribution. It does seem to be unraveling, and in large part we can look to the Democrats for the increasing disorder and destruction of our institutions.

“Why do you think all those MRAPS have been staged with police departments throughout the country?

I’m not sure how much good a handgun is against them.

Waco will be the model for how they go about it.”

Uh, take a look at how the Ukrainians dealt with APCs. Seriously, go to YouTube and search.

Also, take a gander at this article: http://madogre.com/OldMadOgre/Interviews/myths_molotovs.htm

Also, keep in mind an incident from WW2: Partisan leader Josif Tito (later Field Marshal and leader of Yugoslavia who, by the way, kept the 6 million strong Soviet Red Army out of his country) was asked near the beginning of the war, “How are your soldiers, armed with old rifles, going to take on the Wehrmacht, armed with new Panzers?” Tito’s response: “When the Germans get out of their new Panzers to take a piss, my men will shoot them with their old rifles.” This shows his tactical and strategic brilliance: you never take on an enemy at his strength (tactical), and you bleed him slowly but surely all over the place (strategic).

MRAPs are wonderful - when supported properly. A smart enemy won’t be anywhere nearby when that’s the case. He’ll attack the repair depots for the MRAPs, killing knowledgable mechanics and destroying vehicles there. He’ll have inside information, perhaps inside sabateurs, and take advantage of that. He’ll attack command personnel OR THEIR FAMILIES if it is a dirty enough war (see what happened in the old Yugoslavia after Tito died).

Brains over brawn.

I've been burned a number of times as a manager when I treated poor performing blacks the same as I treated poor performing whites.

Same here.

Look at any Facebook thread having to do with the Ferguson case or illegal immigration, and you will see white anger...no, RAGE. The Internet is the only place where whites can vent their rage, and believe me, many of them are livid. Whether they will ever do anything but rant and rave online, I do not know. But I know whites are furious, and extremely fed up.

Waco was a model of the gov’t surrounding a holed up target.

What happens when their perimeter gets a perimeter of its own?

What good is a handgun against an army? Google that very question.

He was held back by the civilizing factor of the culture he was raised in.

If enough people understand that being civilized gets you dead in certain situations, that factor is abandoned.

People used to think the best way to survive a hijacking was to capitulate to the hijackers. Now they’ll fight.
