The CIA Reportedly Lied About How We Got Bin Laden [Enhanced Interrogation Didn't Do It]
Business Insider ^ | 12/10/2014 | Ken Dilanian

After Navy SEALs killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in May 2011, top CIA officials secretly told lawmakers that information gleaned from brutal interrogations played a key role in what was one of the spy agency's greatest successes.

Then-CIA Director Leon Panetta repeated that assertion in public, and it found its way into a critically acclaimed movie about the operation, "Zero Dark Thirty," which depicts a detainee offering up the identity of bin Laden's courier, Abu Ahmad al-Kuwaiti, after being tortured at a secret CIA interrogation site.

As it turned out, bin Laden was living in al-Kuwaiti's walled family compound, so tracking the courier was the key to finding the Al Qaeda leader.

But the CIA's story, like the Hollywood one, is just not true, the Senate report on CIA interrogations concludes in a 14,000-word section of the report's public summary.

"A review of CIA records found that the initial intelligence obtained, as well as the information the CIA identified as the most critical or the most valuable on Abu Ahmad al-Kuwaiti, was not related to the use of the CIA's enhanced interrogation techniques," the Senate investigation found.

CIA officials disagree, and maintain that detainees subjected to coercive tactics provided crucial details.

"It is impossible to know in hindsight whether we could have obtained ... the same information that helped us find bin Laden without using enhanced techniques," the agency said in its written response.

The Business Insider takes the word of the Democrats at face value. Anyone who believes anything from TBI is a fool or a progressive, but I repeat myself.

And, of course, now that we have Zawahiri’s courier, we can’t very well send HIM to Site Cobalt and waterboard HIM, now, can we?

It's telling ole Ken here doesn't call out DiFi for producing a report of lies & deception.

A Rolling-Stone rape-type report where no CIA personnel were interviewed.

I don’t know... We know for certain that Feinstein is a liar. That is not in dispute. And she is a partisan hack who cares for her Party more than her country.

But then again, the CIA is also a bunch of trained and paid liars who “often” put the nation first, but will sell out anyone or anything to protect their budget.

It’s a real toss-up.

The report is one big lie, much like the fabled Dellums report. Thus this reporter is repeating the lie.

“A Rolling-Stone rape-type report where no CIA personnel were interviewed. “

She spent $40,000,000 to make this report.

Fools. I could have done it for $30,000,000 and I could have lied twice as hard if they wanted me to.

What does the CIA gain by lying about using torture?

Lost in all this is the obvious fact that you cannot trust these people (Democrats) with any national security information. During the actual war, with our people under fire, we had people on the intelligence committees leaking information to the New York Times on almost a daily basis. We're tracking Bin Ladin's cell phones, suddenly that dries up. We're tracking their money flows, suddenly they change tactics. We have "secret" flights moving prisoners about, suddenly they have airport watchers blogging the flight numbers and their comings and goings. Location of "black sites", on page one and suddenly pressure on the host government to shut them down.

There wasn't anything, there wasn't any piece of information too important that they wouldn't call over to their buddies at the Times and next day it pops up on page one.

I have said for years that this is how espionage is done in the modern era. You don't have to sneak documents under the table and risk prison. You just leak the very same documents to the Times, so your handler can read them with his morning coffee. Or you mount a phony investigation and stick it out there in the public record.

So they just spent 5 years exposing the nuts and bolts of our intel operations and then expose it. How exactly is that different from what a mole would do?

But running guns to the cartel, creating and arming ISIS, that we can't get them interested in.

This was done for one and only one reason. This was a vendetta Feinstein had against the CIA for bugging her. Since the CIA wouldn’t do that unless instructed to, and the administration is the logical choice, what does Feinstein have on Obama that she needed to be watched?

When the Democrats spoke of relying on the stupidity of the American voter they were specifically talking about the media. Because without a stupid media you can’t get your lies out correctly.

The media is soo stupid, however, they haven’t noodled that out yet.

And using disinformation, or “lying”, is one of the things the CIA is supposed to do.

A little reminder of what the AlQaiduck do.
"Torture" also encompasses using mental unbalancing actions to break the prisoners will to resist.
You give hope, then take it away.
You don't even have to touch the guy, you just break down his mental resistance.
And that is termed "torture".
Just a little compare and contrast.

They figured out that suggesting to someone that they might be turned over to the Saudis, or the Egyptians, was enough to make some of them talk, so great was their fear of torture at their hands. Then someone decided that making someone think he might be tortured was torture, so they had to stop that practice.

BFD. During the run up the Iraq invasion how many dam leaks were out there about dreaded WMD's, how powerful Saddam was every other canard out there.

People in power leak things for their advantage it is not a Democrat monopoly. Politicians get in bed with the press to fit their needs.
