Holder Blindfolds Cops With 'Anti-Profiling' Guidelines

War On Cops: True to his word, Attorney General Eric Holder has released new national "anti-profiling" guidelines directing law enforcement to ignore "statistical evidence" generated by his own department.

'Even if there were overall statistical evidence of differential rates of commission of certain offenses among individuals possessing particular characteristics, the affirmative use of such generalized notions by law enforcement officers in routine, spontaneous law enforcement activities is tantamount to stereotyping," and therefore punishable, Holder warned in his 12-page guidance.

"Even if?" Holder's acting dumb. He's fully aware such evidence exists. And it's highly relevant to proactive policing, because it shows stark differences in criminal behavior between blacks and whites.

In fact, recent Justice Department reports reveal that African-Americans commit 53% of all murders, and 10 times more violent crime than whites. Young black men, more alarmingly, make up only 1% of the population but commit a whopping 27% of the nation's murders.

Most of this violent crime occurs in urban areas. But now, under the new federal anti-profiling regime, law enforcement cannot target these high-crime areas if they're predominantly black or Latino. Nor can they associate ethnic gangs with "a certain ethnicity."

The federal guidelines are expected to heavily influence local law enforcement.

Holder this week is also briefing local police chiefs on the policy changes. He hopes that once federal agencies implement these standards, they'll set an example for local law enforcement agencies to adopt as well.

Holder's also requiring federal agents to go through "de-biasing" training, something he's already mandated for several major city police departments as part of consent orders he's forced through discrimination investigations. The training, which tries to cleanse cops of "unconscious bias," has led to a phenomenon known as "de-policing" in high-crime areas.

routine, spontaneous law enforcement activities

It's scary that we live in an age when we take it for granted that law enforcement will routinely do spontaneous things just to keep themselves busy.

It will be blacks that will die in sky-rocketing crime as a result of Eric Holder’s new politically correct policing guidelines.

But he won’t have to pay the price of pandering to black racists before he leaves office.

If the police spend equal amounts of time working all neighborhoods, ignoring the obviously and well established crime patterns, what do you thing will happen?

My bet is the crime rate in low crime areas will drop to nearly zero, while the crime rate in high crime areas will skyrocket.

Then...oh man....then we will REALLY be racist!

Holder should have been arrested with Obama at Columbia
for their destruction of the President’s office.

White cops will no longer go into minority neighborhoods. Its not worth the scrutiny, not having backing from their bosses to do their job and not worth losing their job over. Thugs and gangs will take over much of urban America as the reach of the state fades.

Exactly what Holder wants.

They can’t really do that.

Now let’s see if any localities stand up for their 9th and 10th Amendment Rights.

while the crime rate in high crime areas will skyrocket.

There's no doubt about it in my view and it will hurt law abiding people in those areas.

Just wondering what would Holder say if cops started to quit en-mass? There are some parts of some cities where cops won’t go. Camden, NJ I heard is one. Some parts of ChiCongo and Detoilet too?

Makes sense to me. Let them kill each other and destroy businesses in their own neighborhoods.

We have a model for this: “Detroit.”

Yep, and you can’t blame them. I doubt minority cope will be overjoyed going into these areas operating under these conditions.

It’s exactly what Holder wants.

Without the benefit of reading each guideline, I can’t really see much of a problem. Holder might think he just rehung the moon with this, but I think it’s mostly to bamboozle the gullible “restless natives”.

Neither Ferguson nor Staten Island was an example of profiling. Mikey Brown was swaggering down the middle of the street, and when told go get back on the sidewalk he attacked the LEO. And in Staten Island the police were merely carrying out commie lib DeBlasio’s ORDERS. No profiling.

An honest cop who follows good policing procedures has no big problem, as I see it. What am I missing?

I doubt it would bother Holder a bit, especially since he won’t be around to take the heat.

The article mentions Seattle and since Holder won the suit they’re having real crime problems. I suspect part of it is that there aren’t many more liberal cities in the country than Seattle and the leftist politicians there are happy Holder came out on top.

We will get a new form of red lining. The police will stop responding in high crime neighborhoods or only show up late and in large numbers. Citizens with anything to protect will either have to form their own protection details or flee. No go zones will spread and the US will become more balkanized.Sounds like another accomplishment for the Regime.

The cops will have to do what the police/military have always done when given untenable orders.
Salute, right face, and go do the job the way you know it has to be done.
