I am a PH.D. and lowly professor at the University of Dayton, and I don’t say things THAT stupid.
As good as Gowdy is, I wouldn’t count on much in the way of results when you are interrogating a self-admitted liar. Gowdy would have to lay some pretty clever traps to catch that snake. If anybody is good enough to concoct such traps, it is Gowdy.
All these circus hearings are fun, but when are some of these people gong to receive justice and get locked up for 30 years?

Yes, the verbal beatdown is meaningless in that context. Pathetic really. Trey won’t do anything either. Seems to be for show, we are all high fiving over how Trey beat down Gruber but nothing will change.

I'm really surprised that Gowdy didn't go there and even more surprised that he didn't drill down on the fraudulent aspect of taking federal money to manipulate numbers so the CBO wouldn't catch on to the fact that this was just a big scam to raise taxes without saying so.
He'd certainly be far more qualified than the current “resident” but I'd hate to see his prosecutorial talents wasted. He'd be a legendary Attorney General.
