There is no such thing as a shortage for a given commodity. There is only a shortage for a commodity at a given price.

Sadly, for us bourbon drinkers, this means we will have to cough up a few extra bucks. I have to go out now and stock up on some Woodford Reserve.

I'm not particular. I like all top shelf whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches. There is always one on sale for under $20 for 750ml.

A while back there was a Maker's Mark scare. The price bump didn't last for more than a week or two.

If bourbon's on the rise then Irish whiskey is a wonderful replacement.
