PRINCETON, N.J. -- As controversy continues to swirl about police officers' treatment of blacks, an analysis of Gallup data underscores how much less likely U.S. blacks are than whites or Hispanics to express confidence in the police. The analysis also reveals that blacks living in urban areas are significantly less likely than blacks in non-urban areas to say they are confident in the police.

Interesting how the whole hands up/can’t breathe movement turns the problem of urban crime onto its head.

I have zero confidence in urban blacks..
100% GUILTY?.. no.. about 97%..
Yup, 3 years ago, they even had a lawsuit about it:
I’m white and, for the most part, if I see ‘Police’ on a car behind mine I’m concerned. If I see “Sheriff” I’m less concerned. If I see a Wyoming state trooper I’m usually not worried at all.
And what about the reverse? Police confidence in blacks.
I am not surprised that law abiding blacks living in high crime areas would have low confidence in police.
The solution is the police need to arrest more criminals.
So? I have no faith in the DOJ and Homeland Security.
Tell me once again what is wrong with America and why people in the flyover states are responsible for that???

Urban blacks also are the ones murdering other blacks at roughly a ratio of 49:1, versus other people killing blacks.
Apparently not a stat they care much about. They certainly don’t react to those 49 black on black murders anywhere near the one non-black who may be defending themselves from the 1 black killed.
Urban blacks are largely feral. The rest of the people don’t want to be near them or have anything to do with them. With very good reason. Their proclivity towards violence and assault and theft, and looking at others trying to stir up trouble, being the main reasons.
And the rest of us have zero confidence in urban Blacks.
Exactly. I’m sure the cops have little confidence in “urban blacks,” who seem to be able to tolerate unlimited amounts of crime in their own communities from their “urban black” fellows. And the few folks who don’t want to put up with this immediately get targeted as “snitches” and there’s never another peep out of them, even when one of their grandchildren gets shot out of their laps while they’re reading a bedtime story. As long as it’s by another “urban black,” it’s cool.
Looters and arsonists have 99% confidence in them doing their specialties in their own neighborhoods.
Here’s a statistic for ya’:
Young black men: 3% of the population. 50% of the murders.
