Whether the details are correct or not, and whether the reporting was faulty, or the hazy memories of a traumatizing night got skewed…the blame should never fall on the victim’s shoulders.

So who should the blame fall on? A fraternity full of innocent young men? An entire culture? An entire campus? An entire region of the country?

If her friend has troubles I wish her luck working them out, but the massive damage she has caused is unconscionable. Moreover the new level of doubt she has laid upon the veracity of young women's future rape claims -- real victims -- cannot be repaired no matter where this story goes from here.

I agree with that whole-heartedly. 1000%.

But just as I was skeptical about the assertions made against the fraternity when I read the first article in Rolling Stone, I am also skeptical about the assertions being made against Jackie now.

If you didn't believe Rolling Stone when they told you the fraternity was a mob of gang-rapists, why believe Rolling Stone now when they are basically blaming this all on Jackie?

Rolling Stone could easily be throwing Jackie under the bus, calling her a liar to try to dodge as much of the blame as they can, when they could have gotten it all wrong from the outset.

How many times have we seen the MSM get just basic, easy-to-verify facts completely wrong?
