My point is about her credibility to make the statement she did.
Once one sees who is making the statement the statement loses all meaning.
Statement from people who walk their talk have standing. Statements from people whose actions and words make a mockery of any intent have zero standing.

yeah like all the fake rape claims, all the fake racist attacks that are done by the victim to gin up hate, all the celebrities who don’t know obama from their assholes, all the lib politicians who ignore inconvenient facts and lie because their talking points are set in stone...

She’ll never have any credibility with the right, or with Christians, necessarily. That’s OK, because they’re OK.
Goldberg has a lot of credibility among her own folks, and among the left. Many on that side of the ideological spectrum came by their beliefs not because they bought them, but because they wanted to belong to something bigger.
Goldberg is talking sense to that crowd, and because they all want to belong, many on that side will agree with her.
That’s enough.
Paul Krugman is evil because he’s an economist. He knows better when he spouts his fiction about capitalism and the market. He knows he’s wrong, and he’s saying what he’s saying on purpose.
Rosie O’Donnell is evil because she’s very much in favor of allowing armed men to protect her and the people she loves, but very much against allowing you the same thing. She knows its wrong, she’s against it anyway. Sometimes hypocrisy happens because you just didn’t see it in yourself. I don’t know of a word that captures purposeful hypocrisy. ‘Free speech for me, but not for you,’ is a classic example of that. Free speech zones.
Folks that come up with that know what they are doing. They know they are inconsistent, and not only do they not care, they ensure that if you question it you are punished.
Bill Cosby is likely the latest victim of that bit. Not sure if he did all that stuff, but it hardly matters now.
