HOUSE GOP LEADERS TRICK 216 HOUSE REPUBLICANS INTO ACCIDENTALLY SUPPORTING OBAMA'S EXECUTIVE AMNESTY
breitbart.com/Big-Government ^ | 12-7-2014 | MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 12/08/2014 4:24:56 AM PST by servo1969

In a lengthy interview on Friday afternoon, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) exposed how House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Steve Scalise strengthened President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty with procedural trickery former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber would envy—and they did it all in the name of pushing a bill that they told Republicans would block Obama’s executive amnesty.

What’s more is that a series of interviews and recent developments indicate that Boehner’s gambit here is placing several of his top lieutenants—including at least two committee chairmen—at political risk of serious primary challenges just a few months after newly elected Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) beat now former House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) in a Republican primary.

Gohmert said most members had no idea what they were actually voting for when 219 members—216 of which were Republicans—approved a measure, H.R. 5759, first put forward by Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL), but subsequently dramatically altered by leadership officials in the Rules Committee process. “I was a cosponsor of the original Yoho bill. I thought it was a very decent bill, it was very short—it was only about a page and a half—and it basically said that anything the president did in violation of current law including what he’s done with ordering work permits for people who are illegally here, it’s illegal,” Gohmert said.

This is NOT what Republican voters voted for.

Yes...it is.

In the past, Subgroups have formed in Congress to vote as a block to control the agenda.

You work on persuading the Florida conservative House members and I'll keep check on the S.C. ones.

The DC Dem media drove out of office the last two Conservative leaders with phony scandals .
Bonehead, the most corrupt GOP leader in history who is literally owned by K Street has been left alone !
Dennis Hastert left quietly because he was shoved out by Bonehead's K street owners who wanted him in power. Suddenly,Hastert has a plum K street job now !

The real question is why the Conservatives have not threatned to break away !

The answer is simple: MONEY.

Conservatives want their taxpayer-funded salaries, Cadillac benefits packages, insider-trading information, pensions and their dachas by the lake.

And in the past, all they needed was your votes to get them.

The next call I get from the RNC wanting money, I will tell them that what I might have sent to them was used to buy ammo instead. A much more reliable investment.

Glad you liked those posts of mine. I was so angry when I wrote them I could barely think straight. I’ve already sent a copy of the Breitbart article to my congressman and informed him that Boehner, Scalise, and McCarthy as well as Pete Sessions should all be charged with treason.

“Oh, please, Brer Boehner. Don’t throw me into that amnesty patch. Please!” They’re all shocked, shocked to find out that amnesty is going on here.

Glad you contacted your representative. Everyone should do that - if possible. One poster mentioned calling the district office rather than DC, but both Tom Cotton (in the article) and Gohmert (from video) said that calls and email DO make a difference.

Videos were posted here - the one with Ben Shapiro is the one where Gohmert talks about contacting reps.
