I primarily agree with your post. Why are the Feds giving all the military equipment to the local PDs?

I was taught that policemen were my “friends” and if ever I was in trouble, try to find one to help. I think a lot of kids back in the day and some even now are taught the same.

One of my cousins was on the Seattle PD for a number of years, including the bomb squad - he’s had some interesting stories to tell. I’m pro-police and definitely would not want their job. I agree that some are over zealous and I cringe when I see stories about them killing innocent dogs (I’m a big dog lover - just ask my 4-legged nephew); and, stories of shooting innocent kids with something that looked like a real gun. I’m not sure if they’ve always done this and it wasn’t publicized as much or if it’s increased (I suspect the latter).

I agree that it shouldn’t be tied to racism - how often do we here of a black cop killing a white guy - pretty much never, yet it happens. The MSM never reports on all the black on black crime - -I see a thread on FR weekly about how many blacks were killed or injured by shooting in Chicago the previous weekend, but Obama, Holder, Sharpton and the rest of the community hustlers and race baiters never mention that because it doesn’t fit their mantra.

I like your idea of a community committee and totally agree about no unionization (I don’t think any Fed, state or local public sector workers should be allowed to unionize).

I do not like the Feds getting involved in local PDs (can’t wait to hear what he’d say if the Feds try to take on Sherriff Clarke). They did in Seattle and with the consent decree. I heard on the radio about a month or so ago, the cops are afraid of doing something against the decree, so some crimes are up.

Absolutely! And here's exactly why:

Q: Who are they "collectively bargaining" against?
A: The taxpayers.

Do the taxpayers have a seat at the "bargaining table"?

1.Yes.
2.Sometimes.
3.Never.

Tie that together with the phony "minimum wage" debate...where the RATs could care less about unskilled workers, but owe their total allegiance to the union thug bureaucRATs....easily the largest class of welfare recipients in the US.

Union scale is based on the minimum wage.
