Why Marco Rubio Should Be the GOP's Presidential Front-Runner
National Journal ^ | December 2, 2014 | Josh Kraushaar

he leading contender for the GOP's presidential nomination is polling at a measly 3 percent in two new national surveys testing Republican primary candidates. He wasn't even included in Bloomberg's November poll of likely New Hampshire primary voters. He's been overshadowed by the media's obsession with brand-name candidates, like Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush, even though his profile is more compelling than either.

But Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida is as well-positioned as any Republican to emerge from the crowded scrum of potential candidates—and his strengths are significant enough that many are forgetting what made him a top Republican prospect in the first place:

Marco Rubio is a phony.

His chief of staff came from a Soros funded outfit and from then on Rubio switched sides on a number of issues, like amnesty (that’s what it is; it’s not “immigration reform”, its 100% and purely amnesty).

Sorry, but the constitution and its presidential eligibility requirements have been redefined by the same sort of logical reasoning that redefines choosing the high school prom king or queen as a "gender optional" popularity contest.

Personally, I prefer following the fifth Commandment to honor our parents and, since the Founding Fathers are our nation's parents, I believe we are to honor their original intent and definitions.

We'd have avoided so many problems and dangers if we had and will avoid even more if we start doing that now.

To me, that means that anyone with citizenship less pure than a bred and born American isn't eligible to be POTUS and I believe that's what it meant to the FFs also.

However, that sort of nationalistic purity is "bad" and is threatening to the New World Odor, so we're to elect another very UN acceptable version again in 2016 to make the UN approved most impure definition of NBC and POTUS eligibility possible our official definition.

If open eligibility is good enough for choosing prom kings and prom queens, it's good enough for the POTUS! Right?

It really doesn’t mater who SHOULD be the candidate (unfortunately)... the RNC will back and fund the weakest, most wishy washy, Liberal GIOP candidate they can find... and that means Jeb Bush. They want a 3rd party... the Republicrats.

Rubio backed away from amnesty when he ran for the Senate seat he has now. Once he got that seat, he became the point man for amnesty used by Senator Chucky Schumer and Facebook’s billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg.

It does not matter how far or for how long Rubio backs up this time, if you put him in position, you will get nothing but amnesty non stop from him.

No Rubio, ever.

Sorry xzins,

I live here in Florida. It doesn’t matter what words are coming out of Marco Rubio’s mouth, he is for open borders. He’s lied to us here in Florida before and he’ lying to you now if you think he’s not for open borders. He is for amnesty for people who have come here illegally. I don’t care if he says they have to pay a fine. He wants them to be able to stay here. He wants them to jump the line of every other person who chose the legal way. He’ll twist his words to make you think he doesn’t want amnesty but if you really want to know what he thinks. Find out what he’s saying to the hispanic community. He’ll never tell English only American citizens the truth.

At this point it really is not going to matter who wins the presidency unless it is someone like Ted Cruz. None of the others mentioned have the guts to change a thing.....

Our country has done SO well with first-term Senators whose only accomplishments are getting elected.

And, oh, yeah, I forgot - THIS first-term Senator has also been rolled by Chuck Schumer.

Great, great idea.

People would rebel against that Ticket because it has two Hispanics; wanting a little more diversity. I’d have no trouble voting for that Ticket, but if we’re gonna do that, how about Cruz/Martinez (Susana Martinez; Gov. of New Mexico.)

No doubt she would be good.
However, it's my read that a woman on the ticket, either party, is a no win. Women have made it into politics in other countries, Germany's Angela Merkel, for example, but I don't see it here.
