Jeb Bush: Republicans Don't Need Conservatives to Win White House, Should Not Defund Exec Amnesty
Breitbart ^ | Dec. 2, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 12/02/2014 4:13:39 PM PST by EternalVigilance

Even though moderate Republican candidates lose presidential elections without the conservative base (see: George H.W. Bush '92, Bob Dole '96, John McCain '08, Mitt Romney '12), former Florida Governor and potential presidential candidate Jeb Bush thinks conservatives are not needed to win the White House.

Bush believes that a presidential candidate who is "willing to lose the primary to win the general" has the best shot at the White House.

*snip*

Should Bush run, his embrace of comprehensive amnesty legislation and Common Core will put him at odds with conservative voters in the early primary states.

Our Constitution doesn’t mention parties, much less sanction them.

Speaking of political parties, if George Washington said this, apparently he could see fairly far into the future from where he was standing at the time.

Can't say we weren't warned if true...we were warned by the original and still the best:

"Parties will destroy the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion [the committeeman process],
Parties are destructive to the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities,
Parties open the door to foreign influence and corruption, thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.
Parties serve to organize division,
will ruin public liberty,
stifles, control’s, represses,
foment occasional riots & insurrection,
kindle animosity of one part against another,
puts in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party,
agitates the community with ill founded jealousies & false alarms,
works to undermine the Constitution which could not be directly overthrown,
serves to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration,
drives the spirit of revenge
leads to despotism."
"Parties are truly your worst enemy."
~George Washington
Yep, nailed it.

So, now how do you fix it?

So, now how do you fix it?

Get a sufficient mass of the people back to an uncompromising position vis a vis truth and principle, raise up true leaders from among them, and the process stuff is a piece of cake.

Let’s also not forget Brother Smirks two squeakers. Smirks told the Conservatives he didn’t need any Focus Groups & then went on after slighting them to visit Homosexual Republicans. His mentor Gerald Ford said about Conservatives Where is can they go? Well they can go Independent. If Al Gore had not been Clinton tainted he would have beaten GW Bush by a large margin and that is a stone cold fact.

Happily Jeb is busily disqualifying himself for 2016. The GOP nominee DOES need Conservatives to win the nomination.

He didn’t seem like such a mealy-mouthed

You forget that he let an old blind, retired family court judge make him starve Terri Schiavo?

You already know I will vote for the lesser of 2 evils,

Sort of like; We will not shut down the government.

Well, I was tempted for years, but I wanted to be able to help a few folks that I thought were good, in the primaries.

I DID quit supporting the RNC etc. ten years ago, and only gave to a few individuals.

If you vote for a 'lesser evil' you vote for evil.

If you vote for a liberal republican, you vote for a liberal.

If you vote for a liberal, you are a liberal.

Jeb has given you an out. He said he doesn't need conservative votes.

Ok. He won't get mine.

He can only count on liberal votes.

Like yours, I guess, if he runs as a Republican.

I will vote for anyone that is pro-life, for strong borders, pro-2nd amendment, for private medicine, and for smaller government.

That isn't Jeb, Perry, Christi, or a bunch of other republicans.

You vote for a liberal. You'll get more liberals.

Don’t worry about what Jeb thinks

I don't.

That liberal bastard doesn't need my vote, he won't get it.

Especially in the general election.

So GOP voters are basically being told, “we don’t care who you like in the primary, you’re getting who we say you’re getting “.

True. But now they’re telling us straight up that they will override the primaries to nominate either Jeb/Mitt/Christie. The primaries will be useless, meaningless exercise. Even if Ted Cruz won all the primaries, They will not accept him.

That's why I started going for the bastards in the general election, if they couldn't be primaried.

I know I can't rid the Dems of liberals, but I can make sure no republican liberal gets my vote in the general election.

Of course, I didn't vote for the liberal John Cornyn in his Senate General election.

Thank you, Jeb, for making it easy for me.

He doesn’t need or want my vote. Perfect.

Open primaries and allowing liberal states to have primaries first has pretty much made of joke of republican primaries for a couple of presidential election cycles, if not longer.

It also helps with the 'hold your nose and vote Republican' posters here on FR.

Jeb said he didn't need conservative votes. Tell him, not me.

Jeb Bush is the clinching argument for permanently resisting absolutely the idea of allowing any family, trailer park trash or Oil People from feeling entitled to rule.

The IQ seems to decline with each iteration...
