Well, okay. My ancestors fought a four year long vicious war to free your ancestors.

Same here.

On my mother's side, my great-great-grandfather from Iowa died of dysentery in Yazoo City, Mississippi, fighting for the Union, in the war that set the slaves free. So, rich black guy Chris Rock, will you send me some reparations for that?

On my father's side, my ancestors were still over in Sweden until the early 1900s, so that does not apply.

Five of my GGF fought for the Confederacy and not a one owned slaves. My namesake and GGF fought for the Union and owned slaves. So, where is the logic that the war was fought for slavery? My GGF was a strong Unionist and his GF was a Colonel in the Revolutionary Army, his great uncles Colonel and a General. Who owes whom?
