Are you saying you disagree with the following statement:

“It is okay for one to voluntarily accept additional risk upon oneself - it is not okay to force additional risk on others.”

Sir,

Having a girl on a boys team puts every boy on that team, and every boy on the opposing teams, at risk. The courts of the land have said that is what we have to do.

Those guys who went out for wrestling and find themselves facing a teenage girl did not put themselves into that risk of a sexual harassment lawsuit. The girl, and her lawyers, did. The young man has little choice in the matter other than to forfeit the match (which often is what happens). The risk is his, not hers, and was not his choice.

So while your argument is good sense, it is not what the law says. In fact, I suspect some of the coaches of say girls volleyball are trying to find some guys to come and play gay for the season.

The precedent has been set. And yes, girls will get hurt because of this. I am just tired of rule after rule targeting boys sports, and yet protecting the girls sports. If you mandate that all mens teams must be co ed, then all girls teams should be also.
