The problem is that the people making these asinine decisions are not held personally financially accountable for them.

Honestly, I see this the same way.

It's completely different. Aside from the risk of injury, the rare girl who wants to play with the boys is usually volunteering to spend most of her time on the bench.

It's an odd choice, but (as the father of two soccer playing daughters) I know of several girls who chose to stay with coed club teams rather than playing on a girls team. The rationale seems to be that they will elevate their skills as much or more playing coed rec, as opposed to switching to girls travel. As a practical matter, I imagine they got attached to their teams and teammates at ages 9-12, like their guy pals, and don't want to bust up the gang. Or, in some communities, there may not be an equivalent sports league for the girls, or maybe a girl just loves football.

In any event, the odd girl playing on a coed or boys team (which then becomes a coed team) isn't going to wreck the competitive dynamic. But the reverse is not true. Boys in any numbers playing on girls teams will ruin the game for the girls. If you value girls/womens sports, you have to oppose the gender benders.

Sir,

Having a girl on a boys team puts every boy on that team, and every boy on the opposing teams, at risk. The courts of the land have said that is what we have to do.

Those guys who went out for wrestling and find themselves facing a teenage girl did not put themselves into that risk of a sexual harassment lawsuit. The girl, and her lawyers, did. The young man has little choice in the matter other than to forfeit the match (which often is what happens). The risk is his, not hers, and was not his choice.

So while your argument is good sense, it is not what the law says. In fact, I suspect some of the coaches of say girls volleyball are trying to find some guys to come and play gay for the season.

The precedent has been set. And yes, girls will get hurt because of this. I am just tired of rule after rule targeting boys sports, and yet protecting the girls sports. If you mandate that all mens teams must be co ed, then all girls teams should be also.

So you are for ruining the dynamic on the boy’s team then?

I am not in favor of girls playing on boys teams either, but ruining the competitive dynamic is not something I'd worry about. Girls who play on boys teams mostly sit on the bench.

If you are connected with a boys team that will be disrupted by a wave of athletically superior high school girls taking over and driving the boys to the bench, freepmail me separately. I know a couple of woebegone boys teams that would like to schedule you.

Extremely rarely, this is what happens.

Unfortunate individuals are born with conformation and even chromosomes that aren't obviously one sex or the other.  . .

These conditions are very rare. I've seen 1:1500 to 1:2000 tossed around. That's a small number to rearrange your entire society around.

There is that what used to be called hermaphroditism and is now termed "intersex," meaning that one's biological sex is not distinctly identifiable as male or female.

But LGBTQWXŸZ advocates like the ones in this article and other social justice warriors talk about being "assigned" a gender at birth, they are drawing a nonsensical distinction between one's objective biological sex, and one's subjective experience of his/her/hir/xir/whatever's own "gender" that they identify themselves as. In our anti-intellectual world, what you actually are is less important than what you believe yourself to be, which is why a man can one day declare, "I'm a woman," and all the socially conscious nimrods will immediately fall over themselves to affirm the new "Chelsea" and call him "her" and "she."

(Just what is it with the trans* crowd and the name "Chelsea," anyway? If I ever get set up on a blind date with a woman named Chelsea, I'm demanding a DNA test before I buy drinks.)

If you want to see a great example of this, have a gander at all the affirming comments when American Atheists' PR head Dave Muscato came out as a transgender woman named Danielle, in spite of his headshot still showing him to be a balding, bearded dude. (American Atheists exists to deny that there is a God, but can't seem to find it in themselves to deny that there is a Danielle.)

This of course leads to all sorts of insane nonsense such as traditional women's colleges having to ask new students what they identify as and what personal pronouns they want to be addressed by. Even better, there's an even weirder subculture known as "otherkin," who self-identify as non-human. (And yes, that means that "otherkinphobia" is also a thing.)

As an English graduate, I find the (often torturous) changes to the language that result from the present age's most extraordinary popular delusion. Orwell was prophetic, but he didn't see the half of it coming.

We ought to protect the girl athletes. We ought to make them all wear jockstraps.

Human beings have sexes—not genders. Genders are for plants and Latin languages. See what allowing linguistic activism has brought us.

And don’t bother trying to argue in favor of the recent linguistic activism for social pathologies with me. I’ll never agree with it or bow to it while writing or speaking.

The Germans were big on hormone treatments. Probably pumping the women full of testosterone. A lot of the drug cheating came from their research. They didn’t allow outside testing of their contestants.

Government and sports don’t mix. In fact, most things and gov’t don’t do well together.

My suggestion to parents? If your high school allows boys to play on your daughters’ sports teams, sue, sue, sue.

The parents who advocate for their confused children should be party to torts on the same side as the negligent schools along with queer clubs promoting this nonsense. Include as many idiots as possible in these torts.

Agree.

If you can’t have a real team for your kids, then at least you should have the money.

This is probably one area where liberals will love tort reform.
