An investigation into corruption in the Iraqi army has revealed that there were 50,000 false names on its payroll.

Known in the military as "ghost soldiers", they either did not exist or no longer reported for duty, however their salaries were still paid.

Yeah. And many Americans were killed and horribly maimed fighting for this corrupt and worthless people called Iraqis. (Otherwise known as Arabs.) What was it all for? What was gained or achieved for America? Why is it that the Iraqis put up a determined resistance to American forces but fold like a cheap suit to ISIS?

Pulling out the troops made a lot of deaths meaningless; I’d imagine we’re still sending the money to pretend a viable government was left in charge (to minimize the sting of those deaths).
