You nailed it right there. My Dad was the oldest of 11 children and was born in 1922. The Great Depression wasn’t kind to the family, but the ones who went through the hardest part were the most successful in life.
Actually, I believe that the proper training and upbringing will bring about greater thinking - sometimes the simple are wiser than the brilliant, depending on the upbringing.
