High capacity firearms are NOT the problem, I have several as to many of my friends NON of us are using them to commit crime. The CRIMINAL element in his city is the problem and he ENABLING community in which they live.

If he was elected I see him being a “lets take the guns away from the citizens then maybe some day deal with the criminals that still have them..” type but that is a quick read he may not be..

Chief seemed a bit too emphatic about the "high-capacity, quality firearms" for my personal taste.
He could have very easily just focused his speech on the criminal behaviors of others.

This sheriff, a black man, happens to be a staunch, fearless supporter of the Nat’l Rifle Assoc.
I assume that you intended to say “the ENABLING community . . ...”
