If one does Google King of the United States , you get hits to the stories that suggest Google search leads you to that conclusion , which it does not . Only to the articles that mention it .

Google's results change pretty quickly. They've got some sort of engine that tries to extract answers to simple questions from the most current, but not always the most reliable, sources.

See for instance the Search Engine Land article that Breitbart cites. Apparently, Google went from sourcing the original Breitbart article, All Hail King Barack Obama, Emperor Of The United States Of America!, to sourcing the Search Engine Land article, to crying uncle and just showing the news stories about its issue.

Much ado about buggy software.
