Got to watch a flight of four harass the targets in the impact zone at Fort Drum years back.
They approached the targets from behind us, dove, fired rockets, then let loose with the GAU-8.
Then as that one peeled off, then next one came in.
In effect, the target was under constant barrage.
It was nice, but put us into checkfire.
We were an artillery unit.

Yeah ...the head is the old EOD school at the end of highway 210 ....I graduated there. Now the school is at Eglin. I retired in 96. Was an instructor thereat Indianhead for ground an nukes for two years plus the 6 months for basic EOD school. Back many times for advanced access and disablement courses etc etc .....72-96 Uncle Sugars Wind Force..... great life, I miss it.

Yep. I am not sure the A-6 can do all the A-10 can but that is a thought.

It was meant to be tongue in cheek. Whatever the left is calling “Bush’s mess” wasn’t a mess until Obama decided to just pull out troops regardless of the tactical situation.
