The Information Pipeline - IRS Gave White House Tons Of Taxpayer Info
The Daily Caller ^ | November 27, 2014 | Patrick Howley

Posted on 11/28/2014 3:05:23 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

The IRS’ improper disclosure of taxpayer information to the White House was extensively investigated, according to thousands of documents the Department of Justice (DOJ) is currently sitting on and could release within the next two weeks.

The Daily Caller first reported that ex-IRS official Lois Lerner and White House policy adviser Jeanne Lambrew exchanged confidential taxpayer information about a conservative group that was suing to stop Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate in 2012. Now, with 30,000 Lerner emails set to be turned over to Congress, new information is surfacing about the White House-IRS information pipeline.

The legal advocacy firm Cause of Action sued the Treasury Department’s inspector general for information about further IRS coordination with the White House. The long-stonewalled lawsuit has finally borne fruit.

“[T]he Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) informed Cause of Action that there exist nearly 2,500 potentially responsive documents relating to investigations of improper disclosures of confidential taxpayer information by the IRS to the White House,” Cause of Action stated.

The Department of Justice is trying to delay the release of the documents for another two weeks.

Thanks for the post; names in #9; thread. RICO the ‘rat crime syndicate. DISMANTLE the GESTAPO IRS (Internal Revenue of Socialists).

2015 is rapidly approaching. The balls will be in your court CONgre$$. Pick them up and duct tape them to your body.

You would use the law to oppose socialism? But it is upon the law that socialism itself relies. Socialists desire to practice legal plunder, not illegal plunder. Socialists, like all other monopolists, desire to make the law their own weapon. And when once the law is on the side of socialism, how can it be used against socialism? For when plunder is abetted by the law, it does not fear your courts, your gendarmes, and your prisons. Rather, it may call upon them for help. - Bastiat

TREASON - continuous, in-your-face, agenda-driven, agency-abetted, media-complicit, representative-enabled, ongoing…

I bet there are a lot of well known Democrats whose name will appear in these emails. Possibly Pelosi or Reid, who knows?

I’m probably just making this up. but I vaguely recall the White House telling Issa that it had nothing responsive to requests for emails and other docs related to the IRS probe.

This whole Ferguson fiasco is for me just another example of how emotional decision makers make decisions.

1. The first make the decision.

2. They then seek facts to support their decision already made.

3. They are blind to any facts which would not support their decision already made.

4. They attack anyone who may bring facts contrary to their decision or asks questions of which the answers might reveal facts contrary to their decision already made.

5. If the attacks do not work on their opposition they become paranoid and play the victim by demonizing their opposition.

It’s just like falling in love!!!!

There are simple techniques that manipulate human consciousness in order cause them to make emotional decisions. They are very similar to stage hypnosis induction techniques. Many politicians are masters of these manipulation skills. (And most TV evangelists!!!)

A possible scenario, yes. Biden would have to agree to Dem leaders demands to help clean up the mess. I don’t doubt he would turn on Obama.

It will take 13 Dems, not 12 to get to 67. Then you have to start worrying about McCain and Gramnesty, and others. Remember, the Dems do not consider logic, only liberal loyality.

I’m sure it’s just Craig Livingston again - surely no one in the media would believe that anybody of any importance in the Democrat party would be involved in something like this!

Nothing will come of this because the GOP leadership is just as scared of the Tea Party movement as the Democrats are.

I wonder about the two week delay.

There are a few possible options for it I can see:

Don’t want it dominating the lame duck

Don’t want it influencing the LA runoff

They want to review the material to develop talking points, possibly sanitize it prior to release.

DUMMYCRATS COLLUDE W/ IRS---order IRS to act to save their seats
by Alexander Bolton / The Hill, 2/13/14

Senate Democrats facing tough elections this year want the IRS to play a more aggressive role in regulating outside groups expected to spend millions of dollars on their races. In the wake of the IRS targeting scandal, the Democrats are publicly prodding the agency instead of lobbying them directly.

Dems are also careful to say the IRS should treat conservative and liberal groups equally, but they’re concerned about an impending tidal wave of attack ads funded by GOP-allied organizations. Much of the funding for those groups is secret, in contrast to the donations lawmakers collect, which must be reported publicly.

One of the most powerful groups is Americans for Prosperity, funded by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch. It has already spent close to $30 million on ads attacking Democrats this election cycle.

<><> “If they’re claiming the tax relief, the tax benefit to be a nonprofit for social relief or social justice, then that’s what they should be doing,” said Sen. Mark Begich (D), who faces a competitive race in Alaska. “If it’s to give them cover so they can do political activity, that’s abusing the tax code. And either side."

<><><><>Asked if the IRS should play a more active role policing political advocacy by groups that claim to be focused on social welfare, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) responded, “Absolutely. Both on the left and the right,” she said. “As taxpayers, we should not be providing a write-off to groups to do political activity, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

Shaheen called the glut of political spending by self-described social welfare groups that qualify under section 501(c) (4) of the tax code “outrageous.” Shaheen is in a good position now but could find herself embroiled in a tight campaign if former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass) challenges her.

<><><><> Sen. Mark Pryor (Ark.), the most vulnerable Democratic incumbent, said the IRS has jurisdiction over 501(c)(4) groups, as well as charities, which fall under section 5/01(c)(3) of the tax code and sometimes engage in quasi-political activity.

“That whole 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) [issue], those are IRS numbers. It is inherently an internal revenue matter,” he said. “There are two things you don’t want in political money, in the fundraising world and expenditure world. You don’t want secret money, and you don’t want unlimited money, and that’s what we have now.” --SNIP--

I think that Cummings is up to his eye brows in the targeting of Conservative groups by the IRS.
