Officer Wilson deserves some sort of large settlement from the local or state government for the destruction of his reputation and career.
Their initial weakness and appeasement of the mob encouraged the false narrative against Officer Wilson to build and gain momentum.
Now their failure to take decisive action against the liars and perjurers emboldens the mob and makes it impossible for Wilson to return to his job.
He did his job. The politicians and bureaucrats did not do theirs.
They owe him something for abetting the mob and destroying his career and for endangering his life through their failure to act decisively on his behalf.

"They owe him something for abetting the mob and destroying his career and for endangering his life..." Certainly, that would apply to the New York Times for publishing his home address.

I agree 100% with what you wrote. Someone needs to be sued over this.

Wasn’t there an nonlinear fund set up for him? If not, should be.
