“Asian” is really a meaningless term.

A sixth generation Japanese American has almost nothing in common with some Cambodian refugees, some of whom, like the ones who live not far from me, have basically adopted the mannerisms, language, and attitudes of the ghetto.

A Chinese from Taiwan is different from a Chinese from Hong Kong is different from a Chinese from Thailand, who are probably more Thai than Chinese.

That’s not even getting into what the British call “Asians” who are Pakistanis or Indians.

Then there are the lesser minorities such as Hmong, Mien, Burmese and Nepalese/Bhutanese which a lot of people have never even heard of, much less ever encountered.

Yes, they are different . I was married to a second generation Japanese

My college roommate was half Mandarin and had a bit of disdain for the lower born Cantonese.

I have friends who are suggesful Vietnamese.

None of these groups are such spoiled cry babies as the ghetto blacks and it is just race baiting for the times to try to lump them in that category.

You're right. Also Asians are more realistic about 'black culture' having lived in within it before escaping...

Koreans on roof tops during the Watts riots... Sob stories about ghetto schools being so horrible - collapsing - after Asian kids graduated from them and went on to top Universities.

Just because a person is 'of color' doesn't mean the color is 'American black'...

To me it read like the progressives desperately seek to expand the victims of white Americans; what the progressives refuse to address is that the killing of said Americans by their "victims" keeps on keeping on at a rate much higher than the reverse..
