Mitt Romney: Republicans Should 'Swallow Hard,' Pass 'Permanent' Amnesty Bill
Breitbart ^ | 26 Nov 2014 | Tony Lee

Former Massachusetts Governor and failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney believes Republicans should "swallow hard" and pass a permanent amnesty bill in the wake of President Barack Obama's executive amnesty that even Romney conceded would encourage more illegal immigrants to enter the country.

No mention of this being an unprecedented expansion of power, Mitt? Sort of like a governor declaring gay marriage legal in Massachusetts.

I’ll remind every single GOPe RINO here, the real difference between Mitt and Obama is that we would already have full blown amnesty if Romney had “won.” I didn’t vote for him in 2012. Nor will I vote for Mitt, Chris Krispy, JEB or any other lying GOPe RINO in 2016. When it comes to US sovereignty, there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between any of them and the dems.

Ann Barnhardt is right again. We have no politicians that really are thinking in the best interests of the Republic. The Republic is dead.

And there are those who think voting Republican will solve everything. The ole 'voting for the same and expecting a different result' syndrome.

They still think the Republican party can be saved from the 'progressive' GOP-elites. The major difference between the 2 major parties is that the GOP moves leftward at a bit slower pace than the Dems.

OTOH, the silver lining of Grubergate is that Romney should be finished as a Presidential candidate.

Not only did Obama tie the failed Obamacre to Romneycare....Gruber confessed that uber-liberal Mass officials committed govt fraud---that Uncle Teddy ripped-off
Medicare for $500 million to subsidize Romneycare.

No wonder they were all laughing like fools at the signing ceremony.

This is a big part of why Romney lost, all the worst bits of both parties rolled into one.

And mark my words, the Repubs will try to give us another milquetoast candidate again.

And they will lose again.

Republican Progressivism is rotting the brains of the RINOS in the same manner Progressivism has destroyed the Democrats.

Why do we need to import more people when there are not enough jobs now?

Ten years ago we had 7 million households on food stamps.

Now we have 23 million households on food stamps.

Why do we want to keep bringing in more people to push down the wages and push up the number of people on welfare?

Back in fiscal 2000, there were 106,061,000 households in the United States and, according to a USDA report published in November 2012, there was a monthly average of 7,335,000 households—or 6.9 percent—getting food stamps that year.

As of this August, according to the most recent data released by USDA, there were 22,729,389 households on food stamps. That equaled 19.75 percent of 115,048,000 households in the country at that time.

As long as the border is open to any one and every one, all this is is a band aid. As long as congress refuses to punish people that hires these illegal intruders, we will be repeating this every 20 years. Let me write a bill for congress. And I’ll guarantee you that there won’t be any more illegal “GATE CRASHERS”.
1) All corporations and companies caught hiring “ILLEGAL INTRUDERS” will be fined $5,000/illegal.
2) All legal citizens are allowed to turn in these companies, corporations or even individuals for $1,000/illegal.
3) The remaining $4,000/illegal left from the $5,000/illegal will be used to ship the illegals back to where they came from.
There , that took only 1/2 a page

This idiot blew his chance at the white house with stupid statements on this issue. Now he completely capitulates and does a 180. Jeez.

Obama didn’t get the voters message, and Mitt didn’t either.

Even in liberal Oregon they turned down drivers licenses for illegals.

Why an overwhelming GOP victory of historic proportions seems to go over the heads of Rinos.

Its the Dems that should compromise to the will of the people not the party that was the victor.

get the corp of engineers to close in the border with a fence first, that is the will of the people.

Romney nothing but a rube. GO AWAY MITTENS. Go Back to France on yet another Moron Missionary Trip. Algeria has the willingness to have french speakers missionize them in the predominantly Islamic neighborhoods. The only problem is that you become headless.

close the border, DEPORT THE ILLEGALS (including anchor babies), build the fence (8 ft high brick, then a barb wire fence. After, we can talk about amnesty that will have a new immigration policy (no Muslims admitted).

Exactly right. This incrementalism has been going on for decades, often with the aid and assistance of willing Republicans. Little by little, like a moving lava flow, the Left inevitably advances its treacherous agenda. The GOP doesn’t even recognize the destructive force it faces.

It is clear that something will have to be done besides sending 15 million people back to their home countries. As much as we might want that to happen, it is not going to happen. But with anything that gets done, we start with securing the border and getting rid of criminals.

I am disappointed in you. You've bought into the big lie on deportation. How did the 15 million illegals get here? By bus, train, plane and walked - whatever. THEY CAN GO HOME VIA THE SAME MEANS. Stop playing into the hands of the enemy. This is not helping.
