Governor Jay Nixon refused to give Ferguson National Guard protection to punish them for refusing to fire Darren Wilson and chief of police Tom Jackson, Gotnews.com has learned.

C’mon. You aren’t accepting an anonymous text message as legitimate news? It’s got to be real, man, it was sent on.4G LTE.
Seriously though, I’ve seen this “gotnews” a few times on FR in the past week. IMHO it’s a garbage site that’s not worth the pixels it illuminates.
I don’t know but I’ve seen a couple of posts here and these “shocking” articles are nothing more than rumor and supposed screen caps of a text message, so far all from the same “Dan”. That lands in into the category as most likely bogus or rumor until I see the actual “insider” making a statement personally. Even then, I would question his motives
Now THAT’S a real mature move ...
Someone has some explaining to do on why the NG was not initially on scene. Did it take them several hours to get ready? Or, was authorization slow from the Gov.?
Remember when the lamestream media covered the Chris Christy story for weeks on end when he allegedly shut down a traffic lane for political purpose. I wonder if the MSM considers withholding national guard protection more serious than shutting down a traffic lane? I wonder if they’ll even cover this news. (I know they won’t).
Excellent point about the faux outrage about “Bridgegate”.
This pales in comparison to that.
Time for the good folks not to “let a crisis go to waste”
Happy Thanksgiving!
Au contraire mon freer, Nixon had Presidential designs that are now in the toilet
I’m sure I heard the Lt. Governor say that Nixon was on the phone through the night with Jarrett and that no one else could reach him. He wants all emails and phone records and warned they they better not be destroyed.
Yes, it is a social media message of arguably dubious origins, but it nonetheless cannot be dismissed as unrepresentative of what may have actually happened. Ferguson Mayor James Knowles and Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder (R), have implied similar suspicions just short of an outright accusation. Consequently, even an anonymous social media source is worth watching in case someone is trying to leak something which is real. See for example:
Nixon was strongly criticized by Ferguson Mayor James Knowles and even his own Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder (R), who said the governor should have deployed more National Guard troops to Ferguson Monday night, when protesters set buildings and cars on fire.

Happy Thanksgiving all!
“Governor Jay Nixon refused to give Ferguson National Guard protection to punish them for refusing to fire Darren Wilson and chief of police Tom Jackson, Gotnews.com has learned.”
That’s it? That’s the article?
How do they know this?
I must be getting the wrong page or something because all
in getting is someones spiel and comments.
Unless conservatives want to drop journalism and sourcing standards below almost anything even the left has come up with I would be ignoring text bubble css styling as raising that conversation’s journalistic value above the conservative equivalent of a liberal talking to himself.
Since it’s Nixon I can believe it’s true. Remember Nixon called for the “vigorous prosecution” of Wilson without Wilson being an indictment or charges.
The gotnews Editor-in-chief is saying a senior police official in the Ferguson police department was his source. Obviously his police source may have been expressing his opinion about something he cannot know to be a fact, and then again the source may have been a witness to such a conversation and wants to remain anonymous for obvious reasons.
It is also alleged that Gov. Nixon and others in his administration leaned on the Ferguson authorities to fire the police chief and Darren Wilson before the grand jury reached a decision. Rports since then tend to confirm such allegations, so, it appears likely that element has a factual basis.
For now, the story should just serve as a warning that members of the Ferguson police department allegedly have cause to believe Gov. Nixon used the National Guard to punish the Ferguson authorities for not complying with Gov. Nixon’s wishes.
I hope there is a clip of that - and that it goes viral.
Does anyone have a video clip of that? I sure hope so!
Translated into plain English without the double negatives: "Yes, it is a social media message of arguably dubious origins, but it nonetheless can be accepted as representative of what may have actually happened."
What you are reporting as news is nothing more than pure speculation, and no better than the Ferguson grand jury witnesses who admitted under oath that they really didn't witness anything, but rather, their testimony is based upon what could have actually happened based upon what they had heard from other unidentified sources in the hood.
No kidding. There is more info in the headline than in the article.
