Washington - Is President Obama about to take unilateral steps to ease US relations with Cuba? A number of recent developments from Mr. Obamas recourse to executive action on immigration to the Spanish foreign ministers enigmatic statement that he would be carrying very concrete messages from the US government when he visits Havana this week have some Republicans fretting that the White House aims to move even further from decades-old policy of isolating communist Cuba. Obama last took action on Cuba in 2011, when he eased travel restrictions on Americans visiting the island.

How could he resist this..?
Maybe he’ll go for the twoofer and also banish Guantanamo..?
This does sound like HIM.
Well, he is impressed with dictatorships.
Well, why not? Anything goes! No one in Congress will stop him between now and January.
And probably not past January, either! *SPIT*
He would be likely to set a date to turn Guantanamo back to Cuba.
Lets see. What else will he do in the next two years?
Apologize to Japan for Hiroshima?
Make Che Guevara’s birthday a national holiday?
Nominate the first transexual Defense chief?
Order the remodeling of his homes in Palm Springs and Hawaii to “upgrade security” after he leaves office?
Mandate 30 day vacations for all working Americans?
Ha...more like give it back to Cuba,,,I am sure they could put the former inmates to good use.....and the facility itself.....nice ready made jail.
In any case Obama already gave away 7 strategic islands on oil fields in the Arctic to Russia.....so how about even things up in the Southern Hemisphere.
Change the National Anthem to “The Internationale.”
Mariel II? Øbama out-Cartering Carter on every front, so why not?
He could always just give it back like Carter did the Canal.
Cuba’s problems could be solved by calling in some of our Native Americans to run their casinos — /s
Coming soon...Marriot Bahia de Cochinos.
Suspect every major hotel/resort chain has a closely held strategic planning component. It ain’t all trends in beds & beans. Location-Location-Location plays into it.
After 1989, if not earlier, “what if” plans were made for such a day in Cuba. Periodically dusted off & updated it’s part of business. Look to how Hong Kong business-tourism has changed since The Return in 1997.
“Mandate 30 day vacations for all working Americans?”
Isn’t that what all AFSM represented workers already have? 30 day vacations seems like the normal 45(+) days they already enjoy.
