Ok, I might agree with arrogance but, ultimately, it's born of the fact that he knows full well the Republicans won't do a damn thing about any of it, not now, not next year. The Republicans are on his side. I hope all those that held their noses and voted R just because R is "better" than D are feeling really really really really dumb right now.
