The Obama administration is expected to release on Wednesday a contentious and long-delayed environmental regulation to curb emissions of ozone, a smog-causing pollutant linked to asthma, heart disease and premature death.
The sweeping regulation, which would aim at smog from power plants and factories across the country, particularly in the Midwest, would be the latest in a series of Environmental Protection Agency controls on air pollution that wafts from smokestacks and tailpipes. Such regulations, released under the authority of the Clean Air Act, have become a hallmark of President Obama’s administration.
Environmentalists and public health advocates have praised the E.P.A. rules as a powerful environmental legacy.

It is very clear that Obama intends to use executive orders to set the agenda for his remaining two years to try to keep the Republican majority on the defensive.
Time to use the purse strings to put a stop to this insanity.
Congress needs to get busy sending legislation through whether he vetoes it or not. If he plays hardball, defund everything he wants until some compromise happens.
Let him be on the defense.

Fine, let the EPA have their little fun while they can. The inevitable legal challenges will keep this thing from being enforced well beyond the 2016 elections. President Walker can then rescind the rule (and all of the other EPA rules passed during the Obozo administration) while he waits for the GOP controlled Congress to gut the EPA through amendments to the Clean Air Act and the appropriations process.

Isn’t premature death, death between the ages of 60 and 70 years, a desirable aspect to our government?

Obama can make lighting illegal but God may still ZOT him.
Freaking commies claim the air we breathe, the rain and soil we walk on, along with all the trees. But that does not make it theirs, I suspect God made it for us all not just for bullies.
