My point is only that some use singular incidents of bad/dirty cops (of which there are plenty, I know!) to demonize policing as a whole.

Well, my point is that I vigorously fault the cops that murder and attack innocents and do all manner of jack booted thug things. But the ones that don’t, they’re ok.

I will also say that down where I lived until a few months ago....in Perry, GA, the Perry Police could not be trusted. They would make things up and violate their own rules and the law.
The Houston Co. Sheriff’s Dept though, they were wonderful, protective and did their job well.
And this is in the same town.
