CALLER: Hi, Rush. Pleasure to talk to you. My question or comment, why aren't all the black leaders saying to these kids, "Quit robbing, stealing, committing crimes, and go out there and get an education and become part of the system that you think is so corrupt and so bad"?
RUSH: Well, I don't know about black leaders, but I think there are a lot of people that are encouraging young African-Americans to think that way. Now, this subject came up on the program last week, and we had a caller or I played a sound bite of somebody that was lamenting the fact that in too much of African-American life today, if you enunciate properly you're considered a sellout or Uncle Tom. If you get good grades, you're too white. I forget who was talking about that. But there are those pressures.
But here, the answer to your question, it's a great question: Why aren't black leaders telling young people: "If you don't want to have any interaction with the cops," because it goes against the political agenda. This is a horrible thing, it really is a horrible thing. And I wish it weren't the case. But incidents like this, folks, it's why I said seven years ago, a year before Obama was elected, on this program, I predicted that if he were elected president, race relations would get worse because the race business hustlers would label every criticism of the president as racist. It would further divide the country, and it's exactly what happened. And they profit from it, sir.

RUSH: Nobody likes this. Nobody likes our country being this way. Nobody likes this kind of strife. (interruption) Well, I'm talking about us in the rank-and-file population. That's my point. There are others who benefit from this. That's the real answer to all of it, just find out who benefits. Who benefits from all this? And when you honestly answer that, then a lot becomes clear about a lot of things. Why it keeps happening. Why, when it does happen, it gets blown so far out of proportion as this did. (interruption) Yes, I have a question here from the Official Program Observer. What? (interruption) Hm-hm. (interruption) Hm-hm. (interruption)
Now, Mr. Snerdley has asked a very provocative question -- and his question -- this is not my question. Mr. Snerdley's question, and he, by the way, is our Official Obama Criticizer. He is permitted because he's African-American and he has 100% -- what is it? (interruption) Organic slave blood, meaning Mr. Snerdley's ancestors date all the way back to the genuine, true evil. So he is our Official Obama Criticizer, and his question to me just now was, "Would it be accurate or fair to say that some in the media got exactly what they wanted last night?"
You mean riot programming? Well, now, you could say they have been promo'ing this. They've been promo'ing the grand jury announcement for a month and all that that entails. So Mr. Snerdley wanted to know, did the media get what they want here, some of them? I mean, did they want riot programming on Monday night? Did they want fires and gunshots going off for their programming? Did they want it for ideological reasons?
Legitimate question. When you ask who benefits -- and, by the way, society at large does not. America as a country does not benefit from this. Society at large does not benefit from this, but some people do. If you can honestly answer that question, "Who benefits?" that will open a lot of doors of understanding.
Business owners in Ferguson who can now take their insurance checks and set up shop elsewhere?
LOL. I wish I had bought stock in all fire-arms related companies in 2008.
Don't forget Mossberg...there's a reason they call their shotguns "Persuaders."

Couldn’t be any sag-pant “sho yo ass” connection to those red butted baboons we see on nature programs? Naw, no way.
(Great picture, by the way. Was that staged? It's almost too perfect, though I've seen so many marcher wannabees and cellphone cameras and struggle chic designer wear in recent days, sometimes its hard to tell.)
Though I always prefer not to inflate Sharpton and his crew, and their role in the world, he does have that HUGE tax liability, and the need to raise a LOT of money, fast, to avoid spending his final days in federal prison...
Rush seems to be suggesting the Captive Press - their owners and the adventurism of their desperate and deliberately ignorant young and not-so-young tourist followers - are either hoping for a large audience or benefiting more from the pure distraction from the IRS crimes, from the totally botched diplomatic contact with Iran's atomic mullahs...
Those who profit from disaster clean up... the list goes on.
Do these thugs not understand that pants come in all sizes and if they just looked around, they could find a pair that fits ?
Does insurance pay to cover mob rule? What is not an act of God or weather damages, fire, even flood insurance must be part of the initial coverage. etc. Perhaps window breakage is covered but does it cover intentional vandalism destruction?
Very difficult situation for the business owners. SAD!

If my ole memory serves me right, insurgency and civil unrest are definite exclusions on the policies. My guess is , they will have a problem collecting anything.
A lot of leftist blacks love being the center of attention - no matter how much negativity it takes. They are desperate attention whores. I think Michael Brown’s mom and step dad are eating up all the drama and hate they are able to create around themselves. Even the President is watching them. And Al Sharpton and his rioters are like a vampires thriving on the negativity of the Brown family and the attention it brings to them. White liberals love the attention they get as being orchestrators and interrupters of the rage and hate show.
Without the attention they get via Michael Brown these are all pretty much stupid nobodies in the back alley.
Who benefits?
Obama and the amnesty cabal.
Just a week ago, they pissed off the country.
And now with these black riots, the rioters are getting shafted: while the powers that be distract them into rioting, more illegal aliens will take their jobs and welfare benefits.
As other FReepers pointed out: Honor the looter Michael Brown by looting more. The father is a disgrace to his stepson’s memory, and doubtless will be blamed for the young thug’s behavior.
