“The plight of uninsured Americans and the hardships created by unfair insurance company practices certainly needed to be addressed,”

This “unfair” crap always bugs me.

Corporations don’t do things that are unfair; it is not in their interest to do so.

If a corporation is doing something it is because it makes financial sense to do so.

It is a simple fact that the poor do not have much expendable income available to buy top of the line insurance policies if a policy of any kind. But then there is Medicaid.

Some people on the other hand simply chose not to buy healthcare insurance (which is fair because it is their choice).

Saying that personal choices made by free people are unfair is rhetorical fraud.

I see Schumer forgot to mention his hideous atrocity ----"immigration reform"---which contributed mightily to lock-stepping Dems' demise.

Schumer is the poster boy for "why Democrats should never EVER be given even a smidgen of power."

Once in office they see themselves as saviors instead of servants of the people.

Imbeciles infected w/ the Dem disease go off half-cocked---thinking they've been "anointed"---not elected.

There's a cure for infected Dems-----banishment to the nether-reaches of hell.

Democrats and liberals used to talk about helping the poor.

In the last decade or so they’ve almost entirely stopped doing so, and now you only hear about “the middle class,” a group that in America has no real definition.

Does anybody have an idea why this rhetorical switch was made?

“Unfortunately, Democrats blew the opportunity the American people gave them” in electing Obama and a Democratic Congress in 2008 amid a recession, Schumer of New York said in a speech in Washington. “We took their mandate and put all our focus on the wrong problem — health care reform.”

“The plight of uninsured Americans and the hardships created by unfair insurance company practices certainly needed to be addressed,” the senator said. “But it wasn’t the change we were hired to make” in the 2008 election.

Conservatives should heed Schumer’s words before they make similar mistakes. The GOP was not hired to shut down the government or impeach Obama. The GOP should focus on the thing they were hired to do: improve the economy to create jobs and raise wages.

I wonder if Chuckie knows that something is coming out about Obamacare that will put Gruber and all the lies back into the spotlight?

The thought of how this hardcore Marxist would help the middle class is as frightening as Obamacare. Was that what the stimulus plan was supposed to be?

As Rush says, the most dangerous place to be is between Schemer and a mike.

Schemer sees the handwriting on the wall for Reid, and he’s positioning himself for the Senate Rat leadership position (hopefully, Minority Leader).

Democrats made a mistake by passing President Barack Obama’s health-care law in 2010 instead of focusing more directly on helping the middle class, third- ranking U.S. Senate Democrat Charles Schumer said today.

“Unfortunately, Democrats blew the opportunity the American people gave them” in electing Obama and a Democratic Congress in 2008 amid a recession, Schumer of New York said in a speech in Washington. “We took their mandate and put all our focus on the wrong problem -- health care reform.”

Schumer said Democrats should have addressed issues aiding the middle class to build confidence among voters before turning to revamping the health-care system. He said he opposed the timing of the health-care vote and was overruled by other party members.

What Schumer meant was:

Democrats made a mistake by Grubering about Obamacare when they should have been Grubering about the economy.
