If they are not dead, I’m not interested anymore. Too many criminals are getting away with lawlessness in the name of “protest”.
Well, payback’s a bitch.
45 years ago, I was involved in a similar incident, on Rt 1 in front of the University of Maryland campus. I turned left onto Rt 1 and ran right into a mob blocking the road (they were protesting the fact that the Administration would not close the school to give them time off to protest the invasion of the VC/NVA ‘sanctuaries’ in Cambodia, AIRC). I beeped my horn and tried to drive through, but had to stop. They busted up my car; the most aggressive ones were not students at UofMD, but persons who were seen and photographed at a number of disturbances that spring and for the next few years. I was about to get out of my car and remonstrate with them, when the biggest State Trooper I’ve ever seen blocked my car door (saving me from doing a very foolish thing), and then a line of Troopers in riot gear cleared the street and got me out of there.
A few hours later, a military vehicle collector brought his WWII M3 armored scout car down and ran a couple of passes through the crowd, which helped the State Police keep the road clear for a while.
